Overeem won’t fight Ricco, Rampage vs Lil Nog in works
Alistair Overeem (33-11 MMA, 3-0 DREAM) will not fight Ricco Rodriguez (42-11 MMA, 0-0 DREAM) at DREAM.15 – and he may not fight in the promotion ever again, according to his representative.
While nothing is said explicitly, after the issues that Nick Diaz, Giorgio Petrosyan and others have had with getting paid by DREAM for appearances, it would not surprise if DREAM owed Overeem some serious money. This of course comes after there being serious rumors circulating about DREAM being in peril.
Rampage Jackson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the works according to tatame.com:
Nogueira’s boxing coach Luis Carlos Dórea revealed that the Bahia native fighter will come back to the octagon in September.
“It’s set that he’ll be back in September, and rumors point that his opponent might be Quinton Jackson. It’d be a great fight for Rogério, he’s a former UFC champion and a victory over him will move us pretty close to the title.”
