This Fight was FIXED. Dana White could not let Brock go, he’s too much of a PPV draw. Fake AS5 submission! Carwin a pro wrestler didn’t even try to re-position himself. Frank Mir is Black Belt Jiu Jitsu, so Shane has to practice and KNOW how to defend submission moves. I train Jiu Jitsu, Brock wasnt even positioned right, Even Joe Rogan the commentator noticed it wasn’t enough pressure to make him tap. Shane winked at him for christs sake! The difference bewteen the Frank Mir fight and the Brock lesnar fight was that Frank didn’t get him to the ground. It was all on the cage and Frank wanted to stand with Shane. Can’t defend yourself from a black belt if the black belt doesn’t want to grapple.

Very entertaining fight. I agree that hey are not the 2 best heavyweights in the world. In my opinion it should’ve been stoped in the first round. Carwin just punched himself out, and his arms were gassed that’s all. He defended the takedown very well in the fist, so much for “Div. 2 wrestlers suck”. Brock looked like he learned his lesson. He looked relieved after the fight was done.
Fun fight. I had to laugh at how bad Brock looked. Dana must be embarassed b/c the golden by looked horrible even though he won. Fedor looked much better in his defeat than vs Brock’s win.
I stated before that the worst match up for Brock is someone with good take down defense and good striking. Why UFC never gave Brock such an opponent- always fed him people known to have poor take down – Herring, Mir. Randy was good but undersized.
Carwin met most of that criterea but is not technically gifted striker. Oveereem would outclass either on the feet. Oveereem with ko power in his knees,elbows,hands, and feet along with much better foot work and ability to put toghter combos would most likely Ko Brock/Carwin rather easily without breaking a sweat. Reem is faster, more explosive, has longer reach and height, and has the ability to work on top or off his back and with better submissions knowledge. He is under the radar and UFC will never even consider letting Brock fight him. I wish Dana starts calling out Reem like he i scalling out Fedor but Dana is smart enough to know who he shouldn’t bark at.
It is also emabarassing for UFC how the match wasn’t stopped in the first. Shows how much bias toward promoting Brock. Brock showed evn worse stand up than I gave hime credit for. No composure under fire, no ability to counter, getting hit by slow looping punches, and what professional striker closes his eyes when punches are flying towards him and runs away.

One if anyone got hit by Carwins punch the way Lesnar did, they would be out for the night! You gotta give Lesnar credit for taking a beating and coming back. No matter what, but win is win..Brock was having the fear of Carwin’s both hands ko power, that’s why he took enough time to make make Carwin feel tired, and as he said his punches were getting weaker and weaker one after another, the athleticism Brock has saved him from KO and the referee knew the he could survive, he had his hands up defending all the time and was facing the heavy punches from Carwin. 2nd round could go worse for Brock if he wasn’t advised by his trainers to avoid defending the punches, rather take Cawin down and use his wrestling skills..everyone comes with his own skill, Carwin with good punches and Brock with his wrestling skills, Anyways it was worth waiting for this so long.
To all those saying this fight should have been stopped and Carwin was clearly the winner and all that other bull; re-watch this fight. About 70 percent of Carwin’s punches hit Brock’s arms and shoulders. Brock defended himself well and kept working for position, which is what allowed the fight to continue and is what allowed him to get back in the fight. After he got back to his feet, the match was all Brock. What Brock did is exactly what Dana White expects from a champion. No matter who you face, no matter how tough of a match up, and no matter how bad of a beating you take, you come out on top and persevere. That’s what Dana White wants in a champion, and Brock did just that on Saturday Night. Brock fought through the pain and was always thinking. He found his way out and in the second round he found the arm triangle for the win. Also, I see a rematch ending a lot sooner and Brock will have learned from Carwin and the winner in a rematch will once again be Brock.

Ive been watching Brock for awhile now, Ive never liked WWE or whatever but Brock has seemed to grow on me with just his attitude. And one thing Lesnar has shown me is that if he does something wrong (submission by Mir, GNP by Carwin) he always comes back and fixes it to make sure he will never have that done to him again, even when he was an amature wrestler he did the same. And that is why Brock is going to be so dominate. So dont count lesnar out in the rematch, it would happen again, and with Fedor he looked sloppy in his last two fights and quite average facing some plugs. Fedor isnt as good as he was in Pride, and if he ever came to the UFC he would be in the same boat as Cro Cop and Big Nog…not a factor.

Referees declare a KO when they see the one who is getting beaten in a condition that he’s no more able to stand up and fight back, thought Carwin had badly punished Brock still he was energetic and wasn’t like fainting or anything, in fact he was looking to get a chance and stand up, it was quite obvious at the point when they got back up, brock was the one who threw some powerful knees, that shows he was still able to continue the fight, and I think he has convinced fans of Carwin with his come back in second round as Carwin had no chance. What matters the most is how you win something, be it a UFC fight or whatever.

1st off….I think it will make for a great rematch. Shane Carwin clearly was gassed, but with some more cardio, he will be back and the 2nd fight will be better. Brock Lesnar clearly got lucky in his takedown. If it went the full 5 rounds at the pace the 1st round was, Lesnar couldn’t say he was the best in the world, but with the fact that Carwin had never been in a 2nd round proved to be his downfall. With losses come experience, and with experience, wisdom. Carwin will beat Lesnar in the 2nd fight and if not Carwin, it will be Cain Velasquez. Cain has the wrestling background and power in my opinion to beat Lesnar. Only time will tell how good of a champion Lesnar will be.

If he fixed his position before brock even thought of it, he woulda been just fine.

Lesnar did very well. The ref made the right choice letting the match continue. The ref gave Frank Mir all the chances in the world, and Mir was beaten unconscious. Lesnar was given a fair chance, and was not only able to survive, but even got back to his feet. That alone tells me that the ref made a good call not stopping the fight. The second round did look too easy for Brock; but I wouldn’t say that the fight was fixed at all. Carwin will be back, and Lesnar will still be there defending that title.
This fight doesnt look fixed to me, carwin looked exhausted and the choke didnt look tight until the end, you could see carwins arm tighten up straight up in the air like it had no room to move anymore, it was a legit submission but if carwin and lesnar ever fight again i believe carwin will win.
The carwin fight wasn’t fixed but the Cain fight was. Brock was defending and trying in the carwin fight. In the cain fight, he didn’t thrown any punches to try and hurt Cain and didn’t try at all. I think he wanted time off and dropped the title so he could do other things. It happens in pro-wrestling all the time. Old, wrestling fans can tell a real fight from a fixed one. Very entertaining fight. I agree that hey are not the 2 best heavyweights in the world. In my opinion it should’ve been stoped in the first round. Carwin just punched himself out, and his arms were gassed that’s all. He defended the takedown very well in the fist, so much for “Div. 2 wrestlers suck”. Brock looked like he learned his lesson. He looked relieved after the fight was done.

Fun fight. I had to laugh at how bad Brock looked. Dana must be embarassed b/c the golden by looked horrible even though he won. Fedor looked much better in his defeat than vs Brock’s win.
I stated before that the worst match up for Brock is someone with good take down defense and good striking. Why UFC never gave Brock such an opponent- always fed him people known to have poor take down – Herring, Mir. Randy was good but undersized.
Carwin met most of that criterea but is not technically gifted striker. Oveereem would outclass either on the feet. Oveereem with ko power in his knees,elbows,hands, and feet along with much better foot work and ability to put toghter combos would most likely Ko Brock/Carwin rather easily without breaking a sweat. Reem is faster, more explosive, has longer reach and height, and has the ability to work on top or off his back and with better submissions knowledge. He is under the radar and UFC will never even consider letting Brock fight him. I wish Dana starts calling out Reem like he i scalling out Fedor but Dana is smart enough to know who he shouldn’t bark at.
It is also emabarassing for UFC how the match wasn’t stopped in the first. Shows how much bias toward promoting Brock. Brock showed evn worse stand up than I gave hime credit for. No composure under fire, no ability to counter, getting hit by slow looping punches, and what professional striker closes his eyes when punches are flying towards him and runs away.
This fight made my bad. What a joke.
I feel Cain will destroy Brock. Cain is by far the greatest force in UFC. Cain has the best combination of speed, exlosiveness, is by far the most well-rounded, and has shown the ability to learn. No matter what, but win is win..Brock was having the fear of Carwin’s both hands ko power, that’s why he took enough time to make make Carwin feel tired, and as he said his punches were getting weaker and weaker one after another, the athleticism Brock has saved him from KO and the referee knew the he could survive, he had his hands up defending all the time and was facing the heavy punches from Carwin. 2nd round could go worse for Brock if he wasn’t advised by his trainers to avoid defending the punches, rather take Cawin down and use his wrestling skills..everyone comes with his own skill, Carwin with good punches and Brock with his wrestling skills, Anyways it was worth waiting for this so long.

To all those saying this fight should have been stopped and Carwin was clearly the winner and all that other bull; re-watch this fight. About 70 percent of Carwin’s punches hit Brock’s arms and shoulders. Brock defended himself well and kept working for position, which is what allowed the fight to continue and is what allowed him to get back in the fight. After he got back to his feet, the match was all Brock. What Brock did is exactly what Dana White expects from a champion. No matter who you face, no matter how tough of a match up, and no matter how bad of a beating you take, you come out on top and persevere. That’s what Dana White wants in a champion, and Brock did just that on Saturday Night. Brock fought through the pain and was always thinking. He found his way out and in the second round he found the arm triangle for the win. Also, I see a rematch ending a lot sooner and Brock will have learned from Carwin and the winner in a rematch will once again be Brock.

Ive been watching Brock for awhile now, Ive never liked WWE or whatever but Brock has seemed to grow on me with just his attitude. And one thing Lesnar has shown me is that if he does something wrong (submission by Mir, GNP by Carwin) he always comes back and fixes it to make sure he will never have that done to him again, even when he was an amature wrestler he did the same. And that is why Brock is going to be so dominate. So dont count lesnar out in the rematch, it would happen again, and with Fedor he looked sloppy in his last two fights and quite average facing some plugs. Fedor isnt as good as he was in Pride, and if he ever came to the UFC he would be in the same boat as Cro Cop and Big Nog…not a factor.

Referees declare a KO when they see the one who is getting beaten in a condition that he’s no more able to stand up and fight back, thought Carwin had badly punished Brock still he was energetic and wasn’t like fainting or anything, in fact he was looking to get a chance and stand up, it was quite obvious at the point when they got back up, brock was the one who threw some powerful knees, that shows he was still able to continue the fight, and I think he has convinced fans of Carwin with his come back in second round as Carwin had no chance. 1st off….I think it will make for a great rematch. Shane Carwin clearly was gassed, but with some more cardio, he will be back and the 2nd fight will be better. Brock Lesnar clearly got lucky in his takedown. If it went the full 5 rounds at the pace the 1st round was, Lesnar couldn’t say he was the best in the world, but with the fact that Carwin had never been in a 2nd round proved to be his downfall. With losses come experience, and with experience, wisdom. Carwin will beat Lesnar in the 2nd fight and if not Carwin, it will be Cain Velasquez. Cain has the wrestling background and power in my opinion to beat Lesnar. Only time will tell how good of a champion Lesnar will be.

If he fixed his position before brock even thought of it, he woulda been just fine.

Lesnar did very well. The ref made the right choice letting the match continue. The ref gave Frank Mir all the chances in the world, and Mir was beaten unconscious. Lesnar was given a fair chance, and was not only able to survive, but even got back to his feet. That alone tells me that the ref made a good call not stopping the fight. The second round did look too easy for Brock; but I wouldn’t say that the fight was fixed at all. Carwin will be back, and Lesnar will still be there defending that title.

The carwin fight wasn’t fixed but the Cain fight was. Brock was defending and trying in the carwin fight. In the cain fight, he didn’t thrown any punches to try and hurt Cain and didn’t try at all. I think he wanted time off and dropped the title so he could do other things. It happens in pro-wrestling all the time. Old, wrestling fans can tell a real fight from a fixed one.
